We’ve had a relationship with Kane Worthy Constructions for a few years now. In that time we’ve built a great rapport. Kane is one of the most highly regarded builders in the South Gippsland region. We know that he expects top quality timber and he knows that we’ll deliver. This particular build is situated just behind the dunes in Venus Bay. Ant Martin from MRTN Architects came up with the beautiful and functional design. It really looks as if the house is floating amongst the trees! It also takes advantage of the north facing aspect while the gentle curve provides an escape from late afternoon sun.

Silvertop Ash - BAL 29 Bushfire Rating

Whilst Venus Bay is a beautiful spot the weather can be harsh. Silvertop Ash was specified in order to handle the tough conditions and to comply with the Bal 29 bushfire rating. We supplied 122mm wide shiplap cladding for the facade and 135mm wide decking. In order to further enhance the timbers performance and longevity, we machine coated the cladding and decking with Cutek CD50. This enables the Timber to age naturally whilst providing protection from moisture and splitting/cracking.

The end result is a modern home that blends perfectly within its environment.
